My husband liked this mug and had mentioned her wanted it for Fathers Day. Now, I'm typically up for a cute personalized gift, but I'm even more so up to a challenge of doing it myself. I didn't really like that you couldn't pick more than one head for the little girls- plus neither of them looked like me kids.So, we went to Michaels with a 50% off coupon and bought the Creatology mug for $1.07. I know it's a little smaller than the one pictured, but he doesn't drink as much coffee as I do :)

We were set! I wrote on it with the saying " 2 reasons I love being a DAD" onto the mug (thankfully if you mess up you can just SOS pad the mistakes off!) Then I drew 2 heads and with colored sharpies let the girls finish coloring in their faces.

We baked it for 30 minutes in the oven (350 or 325) The only problem we ran into is the yellow came off because we had originally used a generic Sharpie. So we had to re apply the yellow in real sharpie and bake it a second time.

EDITED: After washing it and drying it, the sharpie is coming off!!! Super sad that this is not working. We'll have to paint it on and re-bake it :(

The gift bag was easy. You take a brown (or white) paper bag, and cut the sides about 1/2 inch both ways. Next fold them diagonally and add a tie from construction paper.

So my husband just got his first real office and the girls and I decided he needed something to hold his pens in. After all, these are supposed to be gifts from them. Not me. I liked the idea of the soup can pen holder, but thought the pin design was too girly. We decided to "man it up" I found a picture of  the cover of Black Ops (their favorite game). In paint I resized it and added words.

First go to the original source and print out the tools. Have your child color those in and with your help tell write what they like about him on them. Next, take a piece of construction paper and fold it to resemble an envelope (more or less). With black construction paper cut out a handle, a yellow square for the latch and blue triangles for... I don't really know why..

We took a rice a roni box, but it in half and then the top was cut diagonally. Tape a long yellow strip to the inside of the box. With a sharpie, make it look like a ruler, and write something like "Dad, you rule!" or  "You rule dad!" on the inside. Attach a piece of tin foil to the end of the yellow strip and place inside the box, tin foil sticking out.

Then wrap it in black construction paper. Add a yellow piece of paper to the box, write a special message on it:
