So I am always trying to get that wavy look to my thin fine hair. It looks kinda like Anna Faris'- but not taken care of by professionals. So I braided my iiitty bity hair (haha) and twisted it. Then for good measure sprayed it and left it set. After 5 minutes I took a flat iron to it.
results?
Not so much.
I ended up lightly curling it with the big curling iron and got the results I was looking for. with a bit of hairspray to keep it.
When my sister and I were younger, my mom used to use strips of cloth and basically roll our hair in sections up, and then tie the ribbon to hold them. In the morning, we untied the ribbons, unraveled our hair and had wavy/curly hair. I can't remember if we had wet hair or not initially, but give it a try. I know you've got a bunch of fabric bits lying around.. Do it with the kids so you don't feel silly with a head full of ribbon bits, but it does stay pretty well.. Spray it a bit with hair spray if you're worried it will straighten back out..
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yeah that's my next step- buuut I really like sleeping and I'm not sure it's going to be comfy or not :/
