Dinner rolls

Pintrest Objective :

What you'll need:
  • 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Add milk and water in small sauce pan and heat to 110-115 degrees. Add yeast and a pinch of sugar to activate. Set aside for 5 minutes.

Combine all the other ingredients into your mixer, turn on for a minute. When the yeast mixture is ready, add to the flour and turn on until smooth

(if it's still sticky add more flour, too dry a tsp of water)

form into ball and place in greased bowl and let it rise for 30 minutes

or until doubled in size.

punch dough down and shape into circles

At this point I also started:

Pintrest objective:

The original poster uses store bought rolls...I kinda thought it was cheating (which you probably think I'm doing by trying more than one pin at a time) But I figured, why not?

I shaped  the two sets of rolls and buttered the tops of my original rolls and placed both trays back into my warm oven to rise again for

30 minutes until doubled in size

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes (I'm still getting use to my oven!)

Regular Dinner rolls

Verdict?: Oh man these taste good!!!!! They are so light and fluffy and amazing warm... I have a bread addiction that I'm getting looked at ;)

Garlic Dinner rolls:

Verdict: It's missing something... I just don't know what yet. Maybe I need to add more garlic. Still good though :)
